1. The short version
Visitors browsing Indiexis are not tracked: there are no advertising or analytics trackers, and we do not sell personal information to anyone.
Business owners who register have an account with us. We hold what you give us to run your account and your listing, and the payment records created when you pay.
2. Information we collect from visitors
Enquiry forms. When you send an enquiry from a listing page or from our contact page, we keep what you entered — your name, message, and the phone number and email if you gave them — and email it to the business you wrote to (or to us, for the contact page), so they can reply even if the WhatsApp message is never sent. The form also opens WhatsApp or your email app with the same message. Nothing is sent until you press the button.Our hosting provider keeps standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, page requested, timestamp) for security and troubleshooting. These are held by the host under their own retention policy and are not used to build a profile of you.
Your theme preference (light or dark) is stored in your own browser using localStorage. It never leaves your device and we cannot read it.
3. Information we collect from listed businesses
Your account: your name, email address, mobile number and password. The password is stored only as a one-way hash — nobody, including us, can read it. Your listing: the information you enter to build your page — business name, description, services and products, contact details, address, opening hours, website, photographs and logo. Nearly all of this is published on your page by design; that is the point of a public listing. Leave out anything you do not want published. Records: your registration and renewal dates and a history of changes to your listing, so we know when it expires, can remind you, and can resolve questions. Emails: we send you service emails — receipts, review decisions, renewal reminders, password resets and the enquiries visitors send your page. We do not send marketing email without your consent.4. Payments
Payments are processed by Razorpay Software Private Limited. Your card, UPI and netbanking details go directly to Razorpay and are never transmitted to or stored by this site.
We receive from Razorpay only what we need to reconcile a payment: the payment and order identifiers, the amount, the date and the payment method type. For AutoPay we store only the Razorpay subscription identifier; the mandate itself is held by Razorpay and your bank. Razorpay's own privacy policy governs their handling of your data.
5. Third-party services on these pages
Some resources load from third parties, which means those providers see your IP address and browser details:
- Google Fonts — typefaces used across the site.
- Cloudflare CDN — the Font Awesome icon set.
- Google Maps — only on listing pages that show a map.
- Razorpay — only when you open a payment page.
- WhatsApp — only when you tap a WhatsApp button or submit an enquiry form.
Each of these providers has its own privacy policy, and we have no control over their processing.
6. Cookies
We set one essential cookie, vc_sess, only when you use registration, your dashboard, renewal or the admin panel. It keeps you logged in and protects forms against forgery, and it expires when you close your browser or log out. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
Third-party embeds — most commonly a Google Map on a listing page — may set their own cookies when they load. Your browser settings control those.
7. How long we keep things
Listing content stays with us for as long as the listing is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you return.
Payment records are kept as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires.
Enquiries sent through the forms are deleted automatically after 12 months.
Ask us to delete your listing data and we will do so, except for records we are legally required to retain.
8. Your rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, or ask us to stop using it. Write to support@indiexis.com and we will respond within 30 days.
You can correct your listing yourself at any time from your dashboard.
9. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Public pages are static files. The account and payment system keeps its database outside the public web folder, stores passwords only as salted hashes, verifies every payment with Razorpay's cryptographic signature, protects every form against cross-site request forgery, limits repeated login attempts, and re-encodes every uploaded image before storing it.
No system is perfectly secure. If you believe your information has been exposed, contact us immediately at support@indiexis.com.
10. Children
This service is intended for businesses and their customers. It is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
11. Changes to this policy
We update this page when our practices change. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
